More information about Coste Rubin Barbaresco DOCG - Fontanafredda

The Coste Rubin Barbaresco DOCG from Fontanafredda reveals itself in the glass in an intense ruby red with a garnet shimmer. The delicious aromas of ripe plums, blueberries and violets unfold. These notes are rounded off by delicate nuances of liquorice, cinnamon and tobacco.

With a good tannin structure and intense fruit, this full-bodied red wine presents itself on the palate.

Vinification for the Fontanafredda Coste Rubin Barbaresco

After harvesting, the grapes for this pure Nebbiolo from Piedmont are immediately destemmed and pressed and fermentation is carried out with selected yeasts. The must is regularly racked to optimize the extraction of color and tannins. After 10-12 days of maceration, malolactic fermentation follows.

For ageing, this wine is first placed in large French oak barrels for a year before maturing for a short time in stainless steel tanks. The ageing process is completed by refining this Barbaresco in the bottle.

Dining recommendations for the Fontanafredda Coste Rubin Barbaresco
